Audrey Cartwright came to live in Claygate in 1946 when her parents bought the bungalow where she now lives. She has two adult children and one grandson.

In the early days she was involved in the Claygate cubs and then Ajax Sea scouts where she was secretary of the Parents Association. She was also involved with Chadsworth Dancing School.
She is a very keen gardener and has entered something in the Flower Show for many years and for a time served on the Committee.
