Jimmy  Cartwright
Jimmy Cartwright has lived in Claygate since 1961.He has served on the Claygate Parish Council since it was formed and in 2004 was Chairman for a year. He is a Councillor on the Elmbridge Borough Council and is a member of three of their committees. He is a Trustee of the Claygate Village Hall. He worked for 30 years in sales and administration and on taking early retirement became the Clerk to the Governors for a West Molesey school. He has been involved in Table Tennis for many years and is a member of Esher Bowls club.

Audrey  Cartwright
Council
Audrey Cartwright came to live in Claygate in 1946 when her parents bought the bungalow where she now lives. She has two adult children and one grandson. In the early days she was involved in the Claygate cubs and then Ajax Sea scouts where she was secretary of the Parents Association. She was also involved with Chadsworth Dancing School. She is a very keen gardener and has entered something in the Flower Show for many years and for a time served on the Committee.

Alan  Charlwood
Council
Alan Charlwood is an accountant, married to Yvonne & they have lived in Claygate since 1988. He is a member of the planning committee, and has been a Parish Councillor since 2003. He cares deeply about the local environment especially the retention of the major trees of Claygate. He chaired the festival weekend committee in 2005 and is a regular helper at the flower show

Geoff  Herbert
Geoff Herbert has lived in Claygate for 51 years and in the Roundway for nearly 50. He has a great interest in computers and has helped both the scouts and the youth club set up their systems. He has been a member of the Parish Council for the last 4 years and is responsible for liaising with the local Police on Parish Council matters. He works in Hampton Wick as a Technical Manager.

Ken  Huddart
Council
Ken Huddart is a Cambridge physicist, who has achieved prominence in road traffic engineering over the last 40 years, having started by defending Claygate Village against the Esher Bypass link road across Hare Lane Green. He chairs the Highways and Transportation Committee and is active in the Claygate Village Association, the Village Hall Association, the Conservation Areas Advisory Committee and the Holy Trinity Church.

Carol  Manley
Council
Carol Manley has lived in Claygate for 37 years, has 2 sons and 6 grandchildren. She is a teacher and is a keen environmentalist, traveller, reader, cook and gardener. She has an allotment and enters produce in the Village Flower Show. She has been a Tree Warden and a member of the Claygate Choral Society. Carol is a committee member of the Claygate Allotment Holders’ Association, the Claygate Flower and Village Show Society and Claygate in Bloom

Jehan  Master
Council
Jehan Master has lived in Claygate since 1981 and has been involved in various aspects of Claygate life. He then became an active member of the Claygate Village Association being involved in the annual Claygate Gardens Walk, Claygate Christmas Lights, Claygate Music Festival and this year, the inauguration of Claygate in Bloom. He has been a co-opted member of the PC’s Communications committee since 2002. He is also a trustee of the Claygate Village Hall and a member of the Claygate Gardening Society

David  Parks
Council
David Parks with his wife and their two young children, moved to Claygate in 1979. He is now retired. During his business career he held senior executive positions in both the food and financial services industries. He firmly believes that a Parish Council solely focusing on the needs of Claygate can do much to ensure that we maintain the very special atmosphere and community spirit which characterises our village

Shirley  Round
Council
Shirley Round and her family have lived in Claygate since 1966. Her many village interests have included the Claygate Residents Association, the Dramatic Society, Gardening Society, the Flower Show committee and, more recently Claygate Village W.I. and the of Friends of Capelfield Surgery. Her involvement on the Communications sub-committee of the Parish Council for the last two years has generated a desire to become more involved in local issues.

Anthony  Sheppard
Council
Anthony Sheppard is 57, has a degree in Classics, hold a Diploma in Management Studies and works for a major telecommunications carrier. He has lived in Claygate since 1988 with his wife and two children. From 1992 - 2000, he was a Governor of Claygate Primary School and is currently a Warden and Chair of Adult Education at North West Surrey Synagogue
